Biography:

Mr. Steven Hiscoe,

Resident AST Instructor 

Fraser Valley, BC, Canada

 Mr. Hiscoe has been specializing in teaching civilians and law enforcement professionals to protect themselves for over 25 years.  He holds an 8th degree black belt in Can-Ryu Jiu-Jitsu and is the Chief Instructor for Hiscoe Jiu-Jitsu in Western Canada and is a 20+ year veteran with a major Canadian police agency.  The last 8 years of Steven’s focus has been in the area of law enforcement training, specifically in Use of Force Training.  He has trained and developed officer safety instructors from coast to coast.  Mr. Hiscoe is currently posted to one of Canada’s only advanced police training centers as a Use of Force Instructor Supervisor.  He is a recognized subject matter expert and was part of a select committee commissioned with re-designing use of force training for Canada’s National Police Force.  This included reality based scenario training combined with the ability to articulate an officer’s actions. In addition, Mr. Hiscoe was also a Peace Officer Use of Force Instructor in the University College of the Fraser Valley’s Criminal Justice Program from 2000 to 2008.
